New Mexico has re-enacted a statewide order closing in-person services for all non-essential activities. The public health order was issued by the state Department of Health and will be in effect until today, November 30, 2020.
Sierra County now has 344 reported cases of Covid-19 with 11,908 tests being administered along with six deaths. According to the New Mexico Department of Health website 67 cases have recovered. Reminder to please social distance, wear your mask in public and limit travel for only essential items.
The NM Legislature had a one-day Special Session last week. The session was called to do two things: first, spend a little over $300 million of CARES Act funding before the feds take it back, and second, provide some relief to people who are unemployed and to small businesses throughout the state that are really hurting.
