1,933 tests of COVID-19 have been performed in Sierra County with 11 cases being reported. One case had not been verified and was removed. .59% percent have tested positive in the County. The first positive case reported back in April has recovered. Hot zones remain McKinley, San Juan, Bernalillo, Dona Ana, and Sandoval counties. According to the number of positive cases compared to the number of tests performed, the state peaked on April 22, 2020. NM Health Department estimates 5,393 people have fully recovered. Maintain social distancing and wear a mask of some kind. Wash your hands often with soap and water, try and not touch your face.
