- Beginning today, Monday, May 11, all essential business employees of any size currently operating under the public health order must wear face coverings or medical grade masks.
- Retailers will not be required to provide face coverings for customers but are encouraged to post signage strongly encouraging customers to wear their own masks.
The state has had 4,863 positive cases of Covid-19 according to the NM Health Website, while 102,498 tests have been performed. 200 deaths have been reported statewide all having underlying medical conditions. 92 % of the state’s deaths have occurred in (4) counties (San Juan, Bernalillo, McKinley, and Sandoval counties). 194 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, while 1,285 people have recovered. 465 tests have been performed in Sierra County with only one positive case of COVID-19 being reported.
