WHAT WILL CHANGE BEGINNING SATURDAY, MAY 16:
• All retailers may operate at 25 percent fire code occupancy however, movie theaters, concert halls, amusement parks, gyms, salons and dine-in service at restaurants and bars – will remain temporarily closed.;
• Non-essential businesses such as office spaces may operate at 25 percent of pre-crisis staffing levels. All employees should continue to work from home wherever possible;
• Houses of worship may operate at 10 percent occupancy;
• Masks will be required of everyone in public places, with exceptions for eating, drinking and exercising and medical requirements.
The state has 5,503 positive cases of Covid-19 according to the NM Health Website There have been 119,600 tests performed. 11 new deaths reported yesterday bring the total to 242 deaths statewide all having underlying medical conditions. 83% of the COVID-19 cases have occurred in (4) counties (San Juan, Bernalillo, McKinley, and Sandoval counties). 209 currently remain hospitalized, while 1,576 people have recovered. 538 tests have been performed in Sierra County with only one positive case of COVID-19 being reported.
