Sierra County Emergency Management Services
Sierra County, along with community leadership have been planning and preparing for COVID19 since late-February. Our planning efforts build from existing plans and focuses our efforts to ensure we are ready to operationalize our COVID-19 plans, if necessary. The county implemented its Continuity of Operations Plan to maintain critical county services. Strategies includes maintaining county workforce resiliency utilizing information technology systems/platforms, employee rotation, and other mechanisms.
The New Mexico Department of Health has establish a call center to address questions from the public. If you have non-health related COVID-19 questions, please call 1 (833) 551-551-0518. If you have questions about what to do if you have symptoms, please call 1 (800) 432-2080.
County services will remain open to the public, with limited access to county employees, which allows the county to maintain day-to-day operations.
Sierra County encourages residents to remain calm, stay home as much as possible and to limit person-to-person contact.
