Emergency Procurement: Local Disaster Declaration

To Whom It May Concern:

Based on the recent developments from the flooding throughout the County of Sierra, I am issuing an emergency procurement, as a Local Disaster Declaration for the amount of $50,000.00, divided between 5 local contractors. It is an estimated cost for construction flood repairs through Sandy Jones, Flood Commissioner.

The County Commissioners met to approve Resolution No. 108-011, ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 @ 10:00 AM MOUNTAIN TIME. DECLARING A DISASTER IN THE COUTY OF SIERRA RELATED TO FLOODING CAUSED BY SUBSTANTIAL RAIN FALL. And, by Executive Order 2022-143 from State of New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham, on October 3, 2022, Authorizing Emergency Funds.

Based on the imperative conditions of current events we may require further action as conditions change or develop, and as pertains to Sierra County staff and needs, this declaration may be subject to changes.
