Elephant Butte Lake State Park is open for New Mexico Residents only during daylight hours.

Small Business CARES Relief Grants are available to New Mexico for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations with 100 or fewer employees. According to the New Mexico Finance Authority, 40% of the funds have been set aside for businesses in rural areas. The application window will open the week of December 7 and will close at noon on Friday, December 18. 7 new positive cases of COVID-19 and one death were reported in Sierra County yesterday. The County now has 366 reported cases since March with 12,182 tests being administered along with seven deaths. According to the New Mexico Department of Health website 75 cases have recovered. Reminder to please social distance, wear your mask in public and limit travel for only essential items.
