On June 13 2022, The Board of Commissioners passed ordinance 14-005 restricting the sale and use of fireworks in unincorporated areas of Sierra County. The ordinance takes into account the current fires, drought, and fire hazards which are a significant threat to the peace, safety, health and welfare of Sierra County.
